why do you hate cc?
its not that I hate cc ok maybe I do hate it
but I dont hate all of it
like I enjoy the challenges, like the "use these contracts" and the daily map changes. those I can clear out without the complaints
the complaints can be aruged this is a fanbase problem than cc
it is a gimmick map that uses gimmick operators which you either ignored cause its not your gimmick or you didnt get them from the gacha like featre and magallan of the first cc(beta? you know red samurai) so you suffer and make due this cc was the most because I couldnt just make due with a friend unit I was missing more core ops
its overwhelming looking at all the different combinations to get to risk 18 like im just spending an hour on the contract screen with a fried brain then go to ops and like oh did I invest in that op or not (yeah personal skill issue because I only level who I like)
its frustrating to adjusting and adjust and adjust and adjust, thats fine on the daily maps but now I dont know what tf is it im missing is it a lvl is it that I need a day to master a skill (really hate that part like common that I feel like is going above 18)
I feel like the community stopped being helpful discord stopped with the spreadsheet that had videos after the beta cc and tbh I dont wanna keep posting all my units of 5 photos for help and I loathe youtube guides ok ITS ALL JUST SSR GUIDES META SHIT BALLS OF FUCK YOU IF YOU DONT GOT EM WHO THE FUCK ARE 4 AND 5 STARS THEY DONT FUCKING EXIST NO ONLY META AND 3 STAR UNITS WITH A META HAHAHAA fucking hell fandom on youtube look welfares exist 4 star units exist 5 star units exist, I feel like the only video that will exist that used them are mine in the one time I decided to use event units in an event(still proud of that achievement).
maybe its just my hatred of the "only meta or 3 star exists" in the fandom that makes me hate cc when reality its just a dislike of cc because if I dont hit risk 18 im not getting all great stuff from the shop.
and yeah one of my own skill issue is that I dont really use new ops and just stay with my own if it works it works team of day 1(with hibiscus lava and kroos being 5 stars its technically still day 1 : D ) but the permanent rougelike slowly fixes that cause man I love trying out the free units there

Technoblade’s purpose in the political narrative of the Dream SMP
I can’t sleep so I decided to finally write the post I’ve been struggling with for literal months, except way more casual because I can’t be bothered anymore and also I’m sleep deprived.
So the thing is: to me the DSMP storyline has always been primarily political, probably because I was introduced to it through Wilbur who was definitely going for political, and also because I’m just generally interested in political narratives right now. Obviously I appreciate the character work and the personal relationship stuff, that’s what makes it more interesting than just dry allegory, but when it comes down to it, this story is about politics to me. So that’s the angle I’m going to approach it from.
Also not to spoil the conclusions here, but I’m an anarchist, that’s my lens.
(Obviously all of this is about rp from here on out unless otherwise specified)
Basically the situation as Techno joins the server is this: L'Manburg exists as an autonomous nation and is de facto independent although not officially recognised by the Dream SMP. The self-appointed president Wilbur Soot decides to hold an election and rig it in order to consolidate his power over the nation he founded and he gets his VP Tommyinnit to join in on the plan. Their scheme fails and they end up voted out instead. The new president, Schlatt, immediately establishes himself as an authoritarian figure and exiles Wilbur and Tommy.
A couple of points on what the election arc demonstrates:
1: the appearance of democracy can be used for distinctly undemocratic purposes.
2: even if the elections aren’t rigged, the electoral system could be massively flawed and end up favouring a party that in fact didn’t have the popular vote
3: even if the winning government (the coalition in this case) has the majority vote, that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll actually act according to the popular will.
4: the supporters of the losing parties basically just have to let the majority overrule their wishes, espcially since apparently L’Manburg doesn’t have an established role for an opposition, yikes. That’s actually a MAJOR oversight in the system but I’m not gonna go into that too much.
5: frankly as an anarchist I am just deeply cynical towards representative democracy, and just because you have a token appearance of choice and consent doesn’t mean that it isn’t a hierarchical and authoritarian system. And to be fair, from my point of view this applies even to so-called liberal democracies and progressive parties. Full disclosure: even if L'Manburg was the ideal example of a representative democracy (which it very much isn’t) I would still be opposed to it because I fundamentally do not believe in top down systems, even electoral ones.
6: despite all these flaws, all the characters seem to implicitly accept the electoral system as legitimate. There’s criticism against the actions of individual characters acting within the system, such as Quackity calling out Wilbur for trying to rig the election, but nobody is questioning the system itself.
So at this point I’m sitting there, watching all this go down, and thinking “man, this would be so much more bearable if there was an anarchist point of view being represented in the story.”
And hey, look who IMMEDIATELY SHOWS UP.
Okay, I’m not gonna lie, early installation Technoblade is not the best representation of anarchism. I was mostly rooting for him out of sheer contrarianism initially. I didn’t really even care if it would be another Killmonger/Magneto/Zaheer situation because I’m used to reading against the authorial intent when it comes to these things. Sometimes any representation is better than no representation, even with political ideologies. That’s not to say that him just straight up spouting this hobbesian notion of a “dog-eat-dog world” didn’t grate on me, obviously it did.
That kind of worldview of humanity needing authority in order to prevent chaos and conflict is literally antithetical to anarchism and is the favourite talking point of authoritarians, the least anarchist people there are. It’s literally what people use to argue AGAINST anarchism. I think it’s mostly because cc!Techno obviously wasn’t particularly educated on anarchist thought and was just basically having fun roleplaying with his friends at this point. Which is frustrating but fair enough I guess.
Cynical ideas about human nature are pretty deeply rooted in the mainstream, unfortunately, most people just consider it common sense. And like I said, it’s a huge talking point in the propaganda against anarchism.
(… even though in fact these arguments were originally used against proponents of representative democracy. Hobbes himself was very much a monarchist, the idea of letting normal people vote for their representatives would have been terrifying to him. Like surely the world would descent into a free-for-all war, all against all. Imagine letting commoners have OPINIONS, the horror.)
So yeah, that stuff was pretty ehhhhh. It was basically what I’d expected though: cc!Techno isn’t an anarchist and we just don’t get accurate representation from non-anarchists, ever. What I dared to hope was that Techno’s character would at least stay consistent about his opposition to ALL governments. I was pretty sure that he would, even though it seemed like the majority of the fandom at the time was convinced that he would switch over to Schlatt’s side or something. It would have been a really shitty twist, I would have ragequit immediately. I mean what would have been the entire point of his character then? He might as well have been a random mercenary. Why even have his character be an anarchist if you were just going to make him work for a government?
(ftr this is kinda my biggest problem with the Hypixel Skyblock revolution event lol, honestly I think that was a worse depiction of anarchism than early DSMP Technoblade. I mean the speech was good, but… still became a government official, tho. booooooooo, cringe)
And yes, I was rooting against L'Manburg, obviously, and I would have even if it had meant having to deal with another badly written anarchist villain character. I never understood why people saw L'Manburg as the good guys, they were nationalist and exclusionary and their whole existence was based on trying to scam people for money.
I mean they were definitely funny, they were great entertainers. I have no problems with people rooting for them because they’re fun to watch; I did that for a bit too. But people were starting to get really into the story and talk about Wilbur and Tommy, the corrupt politicians, and the country that literally excluded people based on nationality as the heroes, unironically, which was wild to me. And when Wilbur started his “villain arc” well: people called it a villain arc, as if he hadn’t been pretty much a bad guy from the beginning, constantly just out for money and power and taking advantage of the people around him and then pretending to be the victim when challenged. I mean yes he got worse, but I wouldn’t call it a villain arc, more like just a mental breakdown arc.
More importantly, to me L'Manburg represented so many things I hate about the status quo in real life, and seeing the fandom mostly unquestioningly accept it as good just pissed me off. Still pisses me off tbh. I mean, to be diplomatic I could say that I understand the emotional attachment and the way L'Manburg was built up mirrors a lot of how real nations are built and how they create a sense of patriotism out of symbols and a sense of honour and loyalty, and it’s actually really fascinating how it even works in a Minecraft roleplay. Says something about the human mind I guess. Doesn’t mean I have to like it though.
Anyway, I just wanted to see literally any kind of opposition to power, even if it had to come from a character that was unquestionably a villain, which I fully assumed Techno would be. Because political narratives so often just leave us out, or at best barely mention us. And even from a narrative point of view, adding an anarchist perspective to a political story just objectively broadens its scope and actually challenges people who are used to only arguing along the lines of conservative or liberal, welfare state or privatization, nationalism or multiculturalism, etc. Even if the original work dealt with it poorly, at least it would give me the excuse to rant about it on Tumblr, which is kinda why I revived my old Minecraft sideblog for this. (That and pig!Techno fanart.)
Also how can you have a story so fundamentally about power without its counterpoint: the rejection of power?
(Yes, Dream SMP as a whole is definitely a narrative about power, it’s a huge theme for Wilbur, Quackity, Dream, Eret and the Badlanders at least, as well as obviously the anarchist characters from the opposite direction.)
So yeah, the build up to November 16th for me was mainly about the anticipation for what Techno would do, how would Techno’s character respond to the seemingly inevitable formation of a new government. THAT was the point of interest for me, that was what I was the most invested in. Would we get an actual anarchist opposition as a new side to the conflict or would they just awkwardly drop that whole angle? Or even have him team up with Schlatt like a complete sellout? There was so much potential but I worried they might just waste it.
And I was right to worry since apparently in the original script Techno wasn’t supposed to do anything, he was just there to help fight Schlatt and witness the explosion along with everyone else.
And WOW that would have been so incredibly boring
Not even just from the political perspective, just talking about the narrative in general terms here: imagine November 16th without Techno’s plot points. Not only would it have been boring for Techno’s character but it would have been equally boring for basically everybody but Wilbur and Philza. An anticlimactic fight followed by a big explosion that pretty much everybody had seen coming already. Yes, the button room scene is dramatic and heartbreaking… for Wilbur and Phil. But nobody else was there to see it. For everybody else, it was just a big explosion. It would have been such a huge disservice to anyone watching the other POVs.
Techno’s intervention gave everyone an ACTUAL climactic fight, it allowed characters other than Wil and Phil to witness some actual drama happening and to participate in it, rather than just waiting around for the explosion, while also foreshadowing the explosion. Even better, it provoked SO MUCH discussion in the fandom AND gave a perfect hook for future conflicts to arise. Wilbur’s end was tragic but it was, at the time, final. L'Manburg would have still suffered a catastrophe but it would have been left with just the same exact antagonist as before: Dream.
And at this point Dream’s core goals had barely changed, just his approach was now different. Yes, that makes a difference for the plot, but it doesn’t really change much in terms of ideological conflict. Especially since there really isn’t that big of an ideological difference between Dream and Tommy, because arguably neither of them are particularly big on ideology in the first place, they just have conflicting goals and use different tactics to achieve those goals (well, the tactics aren’t always even that different *cough Spirit cough*).
Techno’s conflict with Tubbo and especially Quackity (and honestly most of the other characters in general) brings in so much more depth to the story, just by introducing another angle, not to even mention how much it brings to focus questions about power and violence. These are themes that exist in other characters’s storylines too but nowhere in the same way or as central as with Techno.
I’m getting kind of ahead of myself here, though.
The real twist of November 16th was the fact that Techno WASN’T a straight up villain, actually. It was a twist to me anyway, because with all my cynicism I just didn’t see it coming, I didn’t expect him to actually start making reasonable criticisms. I didn’t expect him to drop the hobbesian arguments entirely and start making points that actually sounded like anarchism.
I have to assume that cc!Techno must have seen some of the criticisms of his character and been inspired to adjust because the difference is pretty notable.
(Sidenote: I’m just forever kinda sad that Techno’s “I may seem like the villain here” monologue was cut from the video and most people never heard it.)
And I felt SO validated by the way, because it works so well in the story! Everyone is mostly content with the restoration of a status quo of some sort, Schlatt is gone, this is supposed to be the good ending, and then Techno calls them all out and turns the narrative around completely: This was just a coup d'état. This was just the previous political leadership retaking power by force. Why is everyone celebrating the same exact system that lead to Schlatt’s authoritarian rule in the first place?
What he does there is force the audience to question the narrative they’ve been presented so far, that they’ve accepted without a thought. It might not convince them, but they can’t just ignore it either.
Whatever you wanna say about the discourse around Techno on that day, in the ideological narrative THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Not who betrayed who or when is political violence justified, that’s about personal relationships and morality and it’s mostly all more relevant to the aftermath than the event itself. In my opinion, the REAL point in the moment is that the characters and the audience were comfortable with the ending only to be presented with a completely new perspective on the events.
It also recontextualises the finale, including Wilbur’s actions! It’s a much more ambiguous end to the Pogtopia vs Manburg arc and to Wilbur’s original run as the head writer. Wilbur’s “even with Tubbo in charge I don’t think [that ‘special place’] can exist again” is vague enough to be dismissed as just part of his paranoia and internal conflict, but with Techno, there’s a concrete question: what if Tubbo, given the same powers as Schlatt, will turn out to be just a new Schlatt? And suddenly you have to wonder what Wilbur meant by his words too. And was all this foreshadowing something about L’Manburg’s future?
Okay I’ve only made it to November 16th and there’s so much more DSMP to talk about but the post is getting too long and I’m starting to lose my energy. Will I ever make a part two? No idea. But I’ll try.
Standard disclaimer: I’m not the spokesperson of anarchism, other anarchists might disagree with my reading

I know you posted it days ago but you said something about wanting to rant about either karl or his fanbase and its been itching at my brain. Ive no clue whats happening or what is happening at all cause no one seems to be making clear points?? Or explaining anything?
Obviously you do NOT have to talk about it im sure it might be a sore point to rant because people can get SO needlessly rude to others over it. But if you want to idk explain? Just rant? Im definetly curious what it was over or about.
The "you dont need to talk about this" is amplified by the fact i am DAYS late and you are probably over it by now.
okay hi yes im happy to talk about this but i think i should preface with two things:
1) even tho it may seem like im biased towards him or being very defensive of him im actually a super casual karl viewer and the only reason i am super defensive of him sometimes is bc we act a lot alike irl and that is mainly because of our neurodivegency. when i say a lot i mean we share traits like "annoying" stimming (jumping around, making loud noises, repeating the same phrases until everyone is sick of hearing them), the difficulty reading situations, the very obvious issues with volume control and not just bouncing from subject to subject to subject as we fucking please. basically anything you've seen karl do on stream that is Very Neurodivergent ive done the same in my own way which is why i get defensive when i see people calling him annoying or saying they dont like him, usually for these types of reasons. that being said, when i say im a very casual karl viewer, i fucking mean it. i usually only watch him when he's streaming with other ccs i like or when he's doing chill alt streams bc even with the annoying donos, he's pretty relaxing and comforting when he's just fucking around by himself and he isnt trying to get as hype as he would on a main channel stream. so yeah, it may seem like im biased and sure, i guess i am on some level, but it's not coming from a place of me hyperfixating on him or me even loving him as a cc, it's coming from me being a neurodivergent who likes him just enough to get upset when i see people basically being casually ableist towards him.
2) i dont have all the facts or even a great understanding on what the fuck has been happening recently with his "drama"...mostly bc he talked about it on his priv, which im not on, and people are gatekeeping the tweets, as they always do, and basically making you "dm to see them" (which is already a problem in and of itself bc apparently in these tweets he said he didnt want them being ss and shared, yet they are being shared thru dms over and over and over again like. at that point just stop withholding the information and post the fucking shit, you clearly dont care that he said "dont share"). additionally, most of the threads ive seen on this situation havent actually explained the initial issue, just talked about his apology (a lot of people have said "it's bad" but havent said why and with no screenshots ((i havent asked for someone to dm me them and i still havent seen them posted, which is mildly surprising, but incredibly frustrating at this point)), i only have a few basic details i can actually assess it on) or they talked about the initial issue in very vague details so um. excuse me trying to explain this now, but ill try and make it make sense with how little ive actually pieced together.
(oh, also, here's my first rant about the ableism in this fandom which is way more broad. this is a pretty different rant from that one, but they're both pretty big reasons why i hate this fandoms treatment of karl)
so basically the problems started with mr beast being apart of a charity stream that donated either to autism speaks or to a similar company, im unsure on that part. im also unsure on if the people participating in the stream actually knew of this or not bc, from what i remember, the money was being donated to a separate organization that was like. under the bad company or some shit like that, idk how stuff like that works and also i read about this shit months ago bc this originally happened months ago and just sorta came to a head recently.
anyways, i think karl was supposed to be apart of this stream but pulled out of it right before (that or these were two separate streams and karl was supposed to participate in the first but pulled out while mr beast did both?? idk. regardless karl did not actually participate, just mr beast). from there people started doing the guilt from association bullshit they always do, this was also doubled by the fact that the chris being racist stuff came out sometime around then and basically he got dragged all over twitter for "being ableist" and "supporting racists" and i cant remember if he actually apologized when this originally happened or not. i vaguely remember him apologizing about something back then but i genuinely dont know if it was this or something else.
basically that died down eventually, a good chunk of people unstanned him but him and honktwt didnt end up getting the lovely lil technotwt treatment and they still havent yet, surprisingly. good for them honestly ajsksk
but now we get to the past few weeks and apparently something happened with him "laughing at someone saying the r slur" (it was mizkif, i believe), specifically when it was directed at other people, which is a big yikes, obviously, but when karl was called out for this a lot of people kind of. made this into a situation that it wasnt bc um. basically karl didnt laugh at it, he gave a few nervous giggles, as people often do when in a situation like that (and karl specifically said he does this in the one part of his apology tweet which i did stumble upon, although it wasnt the important part of the apology thread bc why would it be) and people fucking crucified him for it. they quite literally dragged a neurodivergent man for supposedly "laughing at the r slur" when he can literally reclaim it and also he was just nervous laughing.
and this is where the situation just gets really bad because they. basically forced him to admit that he was autistic on his priv to apologize for this. i havent seen the screenshots of him saying this, but i saw people discussing it and i am frankly so fucking pissed about this because sure, it was a bad situation, and i understand people wanting an explanation, but an apology? for a neurodivergent man nervous laughing at a slur he can reclaim? and then forcing the man to admit something he literally said in that tweet he didnt want people to know which is why people were being so gatekeepy about it while also LOUDLY discussing the situation, as if that wouldnt drive MORE PEOPLE to look for screenshots and ways to get ahold of this information? and then people had the audacity to call it a "bad apology" when they had quite literally just violated his privacy by forcing him to admit something that he shouldnt have needed to share in the first place if he didnt want to, which he didnt.
and this is why im so pissed off. karl is already constantly picked at and made fun of and called annoying for his neurodivergent traits, things which he literally cant help, things which are generally harmless, and now he was forced into a situation where he can now be further picked at and made fun of and called annoying bc they forced him to admit something private instead of just understanding and accepting that he had been nervous laughing at someone using a slur he has definetly been called for his neurodivergency.
tldr of my thoughts: yes i think karl needed to address this situation, it definetly looked bad, but twitter stans have this sense of entitlement with their ccs and because of that, they consistently take it way too far and harm the people they claim to care about so dearly. we've seen it happen time and time again with dream, but this is the first time ive seen them basically force someone to out themselves to make their apology "valid" and most of them still seem to not want to accept it anyways, which just makes me feel bad for him bc now that info is out their and people are just disregarding it to continue "holding him accountable".
anyways, i think that's all i can really say on this topic rn tbh, if anyone else knows this situation better please feel free to lmk clarifications and ill add them in since, like i said, i know fuck all thanks to twitter being so goddamn hush hush about the important details while simultaneously being the loudest mfers about how much they hate karl now instead of just fucking unfollowing and moving on.
thanks for the ask and im sorry if this is confusing!! i just think this is one of those weird situations where like. i think karl deserved some criticism for what happened and how he handled it or at least he shouldve been asked to address it but that just. isnt what happened, at all. he was harrassed. karl got harrassed and because of that he handled this situation even more sloppily than he probably wouldve and exposed private info about himself that he didnt feel comfortable doing and it just. fucking sucks tbh.

November 16 was such a good point for c!Wilbur and I am honestly excited to see how cc!Wilbur tries to make another ending for the dude but at the same time... The story of the dsmp as we know it really seems to have started with Wilbur, Tommy, and Dream, and I don't mean this to undermine the rest of the exceptionally talented members (I loved the egg arc and pls Mr Halo what happens next I need to know), but I can't help but feel like it will end with them too. I want c!Wilbur's story to end and I know that wherever Wilbur go Tommy will follow (both irl and in character seriously how does this keep happening) but "Dream smp" without Dream doesn't seem like something that will work out for very long. And the fact that the characters of Dream and Tommy are so connected in story is what worries me. I don't want the CC's to feel like they have to force out lore to give us that they're dissatisfied with or feel like they could have done more, but it does feel that they're running out of time for that. Minecraft Roleplay as a medium has progressed a lot from the start of the dsmp and we've seen other servers made better by the fact that they end (3rd life/last life, HCS8, etc...) But dsmp has so many creators for it and such bad communication between all of them. Idk what I'm trying to say with this, just kinda spitballing my thoughts, but the server has been running for so long and in a medium that without excessive and detailed planning and communication cannot survive for long. I agree with Wilbur that this is something I want everyone involved with to look back upon happily and be proud of though. For a lot of people this seems to be their first fandom though, and I think that maybe as a whole we're a bit too attached as a fandom to it. But I do hope that people remember that even if the server's story ends that doesn't mean the CC's are just gonna stop doing anything story related at all. Wilbur first of all has always done little story things and I cannot see a version of him that just stops. Idk. Still not sure what I was trying to say with this but I think that Wilbur even thinking about the end of his character's story is honestly a good start for all of this and it's something that only makes me more excited to see what happens. Sorry for the long and barely coherent message lol
I don't know if I agree, but I do totally see where you're coming from. Like no matter how you feel about everything that came after, the DSMP fundamentally shifted after November 16 and even with the more trudgy state of the server ATM, Wilbur's second departure (of sorts) is more than likely to bring about something similar again.
Not to mention, you're right, it is the "Dream SMP" and even though he's not on it very much, his character's been pretty pivotal. I hope for the server's survival, even on a smaller scale, but I definitely can't guarantee it (even as a prediction, I mean)
I hope everyone looks back on this time with fondness. We're a mess and there's definitely been anger and frustration not just with the lore but with each other and creators and people who hate us but also I've loved my time here dearly and I know I wouldn't take it back if I was given the opportunity to do-over this period.
And of course, the fandom doesn't end when the story does. You can be here forever if you'd like and that's more than okay. That's just how things are.

part 2 of the asks! :) part 1 here
Tumblr media
dream gets these moods sometimes, and idk if it's a result of his current stressors, or if it's just his personality, but when i think he sort of feels threatened or shoved to the side a bit, he goes on the offensive. he hates being told someone is better than him, he hates not contributing to success, and i know that sounds kind of negative but i think he just really likes people relying on him and he likes being part of the reason people do well, and that's why i think he loves when george relies on him so much :') and there's nothing wrong with that! but when george jokingly says 'i don't need you' to dream, it seems like his mood instantly falls. then he'd rather antagonise than continue to help.
i've noticed that pattern a lot idk maybe it's just in my head but that's the vibe i get sometimes. when people who rely on him a lot stop relying on him, it just sometimes seems like he doesn't like it. and that's okay, but there's better ways to deal with that i think, rather than go on the offensive and potentially make the mood a lil sour. idk i guess it's difficult to explain when i don't know his actual thought process!
Tumblr media
yeah it was just a little uncalled for, i don't know why lately he's been name calling so much lmao something about it just seems so personal and mean. i don't think george cares and it's none of my business, but as a viewer it's not the most fun thing to watch, especially when the mood was so good and everyone was having so much fun. it was one of those moods where i feel like if someone did something annoying, it's better to just let it go and keep enjoying the fun atmosphere, but dream just wouldn't let it go, and it was pretty hypocritical behaviour cause it's the kind of behaviour he berates george for quite often. i love dream but sometimes he is a bit of a twat ❤️
Tumblr media
the fandom is just very used to the dynamic of george relying on dream i think. so when george does things by himself and he does it well, people are quite surprised, but when dream and sapnap turned around and started acting like dream was the reason he was doing well - because people are so used to that being the case, they just went along with it? and yeah idk. i mean i've personally seen more people annoyed at dream than agreeing with him or sapnap haha, but that's mainly cause i only look at tumblr now, on twitter i just follow like 3 fans and the rest are cc's and artists, so i haven't seen what twitter was saying, but tumblr recognises george, that he's more than dream's friend and he is a skilled player, so i think that's why so many of us got our feathers ruffled a bit haha
Tumblr media
no worries at all, trust me i understand your frustration :') it's good to get it all out haha, once i discuss my frustrations with everyone i swear i find it so easy to let it go afterwards!!! discussing is good for the soul ❤️
Tumblr media
honestly yeah i kind of agree. lately, it seems like dream's aggravation or frustration - whether it's something to do with george or not - does kind of feel like george will be on the receiving end of it regardless. like i mentioned this before in a different ask i answered, i feel like dream has been swearing at george a little more than i've ever noticed in the past? usually he calls george an idiot or stupid but it's always so light hearted, but lately he's used 'asshole' 'dickhead', calling him inconsiderate, etc. it is very interesting? i don't know if maybe we're imagining it or if it is really a bit different but yeah. i don't know what george has done to him, if anything :') but i'm not the biggest fan of this lolololol so i hope dream can find his peace again soon LOL idk maybe we're way off or imagining it or whatever haha but idk
Tumblr media
yeah george does get underestimated a lot haha, and to be fair i do think he can blame himself for some of it because i do feel like if dream is there, he will rely on him 9 times out of 10. but it doesn't change the fact that he's cracked and he should show it off more. but it's tru, people always remember negative things better than they do positives :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah i think a lot of people get so comfortable, they forget that cc's are still people - people that you are not friends with - so you should respect them like how you would respect a stranger on the street. just because you see dream call george a dick, doesn't mean you should go ahead and call him a dick :') dream has been friends with george for like 6 years now, he knows him personally and deeply, and we are not on the same level. so that idea that 'i can say this because dream said it' etc, is bullshit, because we're on completely different tiers in george's life. you don't have to like him ofc, you can like dream and dislike george in the same breath, but that doesn't mean you need to express that dislike.
Tumblr media
ofc, george definitely has a big share of the responsibility for how he is perceived online :') he relies on dream 9 times out of 10. he will try and farm aww's from the chat when someone is going against him haha. but i think when he is truly trying hard, like how he was genuinely trying to win at dodgebolt last night - it was very petty and unfair of dream to try and get in-between that, when george was for once showing the stream viewers that he is good and he is capable of winning! george was trying to have his moment and dream made it about himself and undermined his skill :') it's just a silly thing to me because dream praises him so much, especially at dodge bolt and usually seems so proud when george is trying, so it was strange behaviour to see him turn around and do what he did last night idk idk
Tumblr media
gogy is like an onion, he's got many layers! his face is just the very top one :P
